Rob Edwards has played down concern that Jorgen Strand Larsen could leave Wolves in January as his side prepare to face Liverpool on Saturday.
According to Molineux.news, Strand Larsen has been linked with West Ham after the Irons loaned out Niclas Fullkrug to AC Milan, and Everton are monitoring him, with Thierno Barry and Beto on two league goals between them. Wolves would want around £40 million, and West Ham are said to have balked at that price.
The forward almost left in the summer when Newcastle pursued him, and the speculation has resurfaced this week.
Edwards called it a difficult spell for the striker but praised his attitude and work. He said members of staff have spoken with him and that the player must work through it.
He added that any January situation will be judged on an individual basis, and he anticipates interest in a few players despite the club’s current position.
Edwards has backed his number nine, but it remains to be seen if he starts against Liverpool, with calls for him to be dropped.
