Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez has on Tuesday taken fresh aim at those in a position of power at Barcelona.
This of course comes fresh off Los Blancos’ arch rivals securing their latest La Liga title.
Barca and Real played out the season’s final edition of El Clásico on Sunday, with the former having ultimately emerged on the right side of a 2-0 result.
This ensured that the Blaugrana moved out of the reach of their opponents, 14 points clear atop the La Liga table with three rounds of fixtures remaining.
And safe to say, such developments have not gone down at all well behind the scenes in Spain’s capital…
Florentino Pérez called a surprise press conference on Tuesday, during which the Spanish patron touched on a whole host of topics.
One such subject came in the form of Barcelona’s title win, and those of years gone by, as Pérez made clear once again his feelings on the Blaugrana’s success, and the ongoing Negreira case:
“I’ve won 7 Champions Leagues and 7 La Liga titles… I should have won 14 La Ligas but we were robbed. This season, they robbed us of 18 points in La Liga, we did a video on RMTV showing all the incidents.
“We are going to submit a dossier to UEFA so that they put an end to the case. The Negreira case, a sports corruption scandal, is still causing repercussions. There are referees from that era who are still officiating.”
