Roberto Pruzzo optimistic about Gasperini’s appointment: “I like this new Roma.” | OneFootball

Former Roma striker Roberto Pruzzo sounded optimistic about the direction the club have taken by appointing Gian Piero Gasperini as their new head coach.

In an interview with Corriere dello Sport, Pruzzo praised the club’s decision.

“I like this new Roma,” he said, “now let’s see how the market goes. I have the feeling that things can go well, given the total experience of Ranieri who has done a half miracle.”

“I expected Gasperini after the risks of the last year,” he added.

“I don’t think there will be a revolution in the squad, if anything there should have been at the beginning of last season. The results in the return were exceptional, I imagine some adjustments will be made.”

“Gasperini is sometimes considered outside the box, but instead he is an absolutely normal person. Leaving Bergamo for him was probably not easy, but it created a great opportunity.”
