Robinho Jr., 18, has joined Umbro’s roster of sponsored athletes, with the agreement arriving as Santos hold talks over extending the forward’s contract.
According to Diario Do Peixe, Umbro, Santos’ kit supplier since 2018, has added the teenager to its stable. He has featured for the first team since 2025, lifting his profile, and the brand valued his attacking output and one against one ability.
The deal is viewed as an early milestone in his professional path. Robinho Jr. said it is an honour to link up with such a traditional football brand, adding he is motivated to keep improving and build his own story.
Umbro’s Brazil director, Eduardo Dal Pogetto, said the signing fits a strategy of supporting young players from the outset of their senior careers, expressing delight at welcoming him and belief in emerging talent.
Off the pitch, renewal talks have resumed after a spell of uncertainty, and there is optimism about an agreement. His current deal runs to April 2027, with Santos working on an extension that could take it to 2030.
His camp is seeking greater first-team opportunities and salary adjustments. The forward lost minutes under Vojvoda early in 2026, but is more optimistic following Cuca’s arrival and says early sessions have already brought learning.
If no renewal is reached, he can sign a pre-contract with another club from November. Looking ahead, the number seven hopes to win trophies with Santos, play regularly, help the team and craft a meaningful club legacy.
