Manchester United are looking to add more Brazilian flair to their ranks.

Over the summer, United triggered a £62.5m release clause to sign Matheus Cunha from Wolves. The Brazil international has made an electric start to his career at Old Trafford, impressing with his dribbling and intensity.

Further, it has been widely reported that the Red Devils are considering reuniting Cunha with Brazil and Wolves midfielder Joao Gomes in January. Now, a report suggests the Premier League giants have set their sights on a young winger from the Samba nation as well.

Manchester United keen on Robinho

According to CentreDevils, United are monitoring Santos sensation Robinho Junior.

The Red Devils have scouted the left winger, whose contract at Santos includes a staggering a €100m release clause. However, Robinho is expected to be sold for “much less” with his current deal set to run out in 2027.

It is claimed that sources at Santos “have not ruled out the sale of Junior before the end of the year” owing to financial and sporting crisis.

They find themselves in the relegation zone, one point adrift of safety.

Robinho backed for success

The club that produced Neymar are aware of growing interest in their latest attacking prospect. Chelsea, Inter Milan, Espanyol and Galatasaray are also thought to be targeting Robinho.

The 17-year-old winger, who is son of former Real Madrid and Manchester City star Robinho, is known for his dazzling dribbling and agility.

The junior Robinho has been tipped to have a big future by Santos manager Juan Pablo Vojvoda.

Early this month, Vojvoda told reporters: “He’ll continue to grow. I spoke with him and told him he’ll be a great player. He needs more statistics, assists, goals, but he’s on the right track.”

Robinho has one assist to his name in 13 league appearances for Santos this season.
