We welcome the Yorkshiremen to the Etihad Stadium in a 15:00 (UK) start sitting third in the table, with our visitors currently 18th.

We’ll have to face Daniel Farke’s promoted side without our 2024 Ballon d’Or winner, who is continuing his recovery from a hamstring injury.

Rodri last featured as a late substitute in the win over Bournemouth at the start of November but has not started a game since the 1 October draw at Monaco.

Asked in Friday’s press conference whether the No.16 could play on Saturday, Guardiola was unequivocal in his response.

“Not yet. Not much further,” he said.

City v Leeds: Matchday Live the ideal destination with no UK TV coverage

We have a strong recent record against Leeds, scoring 16 goals in our last four Premier League meetings with the Elland Road side.

After a 100-point haul to top the Championship last season, they’ve started this campaign with three wins from their first 12 games.

Despite their challenges so far, Guardiola is certain of a tough challenge.

“I have an incredible opinion of Daniel [Farke],” said Pep.

“I have a really good relationship with him and I know the Premier League is always like that with good runs and results and bad results because opponents are tough and have long weeks to prepare.

“So demanding. We have to be ready.”
