Corinthians fell 2-1 to Bahia at Vila Belmiro in the Brasileirão opener, but Rodrigo Garro reached 15 league assists by setting up Breno Bidon, moving second for assists since his Corinthians debut.
Garro's first appearance in the competition came on 14 April 2024, a 0-0 draw with Atlético-MG at Neo Química Arena. According to Meu Timao, only Giorgian de Arrascaeta has more in that span, with 21.
Against Bahia, he combined with Memphis Depay before slipping a pass through David Duarte's legs for Bidon to beat Ronaldo. The assist moved him ahead of Cruzeiro's Matheus Pereira, who has 14 in the same period.
Fitness issues have dogged Garro since late 2024, including right knee pain that required injections. In 2025 he missed about two months with patellar tendinopathy treated in Spain, then suffered two calf injuries that sidelined him from league matches.
Across all competitions he has played 104 times for Corinthians, recording 47 wins, 27 draws and 30 defeats, with 15 goals and 24 assists. He won the 2025 Campeonato Paulista and Copa do Brasil and could add to his tallies when Corinthians face Flamengo in the Supercopa do Brasil final at Mané Garrincha on Sunday at 16:00.
