Corinthians will be without Rodrigo Garro for their next Campeonato Brasileiro fixture, as the midfielder serves a ban for accumulation. He collected his third yellow in Saturday's match against Grêmio and will miss Remo on 22 July at Neo Química Arena after the World Cup break.
According to Meu Timao, Garro was booked on 44 minutes of the first half for protesting after a challenge by Marcos Rocha. The opposing full-back is said to have planted his studs into the number eight's leg.
He had previously been shown yellows against Flamengo on 22 March and Vitória on 18 April.
During the interval without official games, Fernando Diniz could regain key defenders. Centre-backs João Pedro Tchoca and Vitinho are in medical recovery and have a chance to return to training in July.
Memphis Depay could also come back into contention. He has travelled to represent the Netherlands at the World Cup and, if he remains at the club after the tournament, could bolster Corinthians against Remo. His current deal runs to 31 July, with renewal talks ongoing.
The result in Porto Alegre eased relegation concerns and lifted Corinthians to ninth, inside the 2027 Copa Sudamericana qualifying places. On 24 points, they moved above Grêmio, Internacional, Atlético-MG, Vitória, Botafogo and Cruzeiro.
