Rodrygo from Real Madrid to Arsenal: The latest | OneFootball

An update on the ongoing transfer saga linking Real Madrid star Rodrygo with a move to Arsenal has on Tuesday been forthcoming online.

The info comes courtesy of The Athletic, and confirms that a sale is likely to be required at The Emirates for any such move to go ahead.

Frontman Rodrygo of course saw his name heavily linked with that of Arsenal earlier this summer.

After word was forthcoming that the Brazilian is available for sale at the right price, the Gunners were immediately named as his most realistic landing spot.

The links between the parties have died down somewhat over recent weeks, after Mikel Arteta and co. opted to shift focus towards signings in other areas.

As alluded to above, though, on Tuesday, a fresh insight into the situation has been provided.

As per a report from The Athletic:

‘Arsenal held talks with the player’s entourage but wanted to strengthen in other positions, especially at centre-forward. Gabriel Martinelli or Leandro Trossard would most likely have to leave for there to be any chance of a deal.’
