Roma prepare second offer for Raspadori, Atletico reject Dovbyk | OneFootball

Roma are looking to secure several reinforcements for Gian Piero Gasperini in the winter transfer window, and in addition to the central defender, they’re also aiming to improve their attacking line.

As revealed by Matteo Moretto, Atlético Madrid deemed the initial verbal offer (a loan with an option to buy) presented by the Giallorossi for Giacomo Raspadori insufficient.

The key to the deal will be the inclusion of an obligation to buy, as the Colchoneros don’t want to lose the €22 million they invested in the former Napoli player this summer and are seeking either a permanent transfer or a loan with an option to buy, subject to certain conditions (such as Champions League qualification).

Following these requests, Roma is ready to relaunch and is preparing a second offer: the Roman club has yet to reach an agreement with Raspadori and is aiming to reach an agreement with Atlético first.

Furthermore, in recent days, the Giallorossi club offered Artem Dovbyk, but the Madrid club declined, having already signed Alexander Sorloth.

The Ukrainian striker remains on the way out and has also been offered to other English and Spanish clubs.
