Roma is searching for a new striker for next season.
With Artem Dovbyk presumably out of the picture and Evan Ferguson back at Brighton, the Giallorossi will need to make moves in the transfer market to strengthen their attack.
Among the names being closely followed, TMW reports, is Gianluca Scamacca. The Roman striker knows Gasperini well and enjoyed a stellar season under the manager, culminating in a Europa League victory.
Scamacca is considered an ideal candidate, also because he could play in a two-man attack alongside Donyell Malen.
Roma have reportedly already initiated initial contact with the player. Atalanta’s valuation: Atalanta invested approximately €30 million to acquire him three years ago, and the striker has one year left on his contract, with an option to extend.
For this reason, this summer could be the last opportunity for a high-value transfer.
The Bergamo club’s asking price is reportedly between €30 and €35 million.
