Roma’s transfer window is heating up.
While attack remains the top priority for the overhaul requested by Gian Piero Gasperini, defense is the second hot spot at Trigoria.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, new contacts have taken place in the last few hours between Roma and Tottenham to seek a definitive agreement on Radu Dragusin’s transfer to the capital, with the aim of reaching a mutually satisfactory financial agreement.
After setting aside Axel Disasi due to Chelsea’s €20 million request, Roma has identified Dragusin as the most affordable and effective option.
The player is familiar with Serie A, and Spurs appear willing to let him leave on loan, given that the center-back has struggled to regain starting spots after recovering from a torn cruciate ligament.
Despite an initial slowdown due to Ziolkowski’s excellent performances, who has impressed in recent Serie A matches, Dragusin’s name has resurfaced in the Trigoria corridors.
Massara continues to hold discussions with Tottenham to ensure he’s prepared, and is seeking an agreement on the price.
