Roma set Read limit at €28m, ready for Molina or Fresneda instead | OneFootball

Roma do not seem prepared to push their offer for Givairo Read above €25m plus €3m add-ons to Feyenoord, so could turn to Nahuel Molina or Ivan Fresneda instead.

The Giallorossi saw their opening €25m bid rejected, then bumped it up over the last 48 hours.

Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia both claim the limit for the Roma proposal is going to be €25m plus €3m in add-ons and a percentage of the future sale fee.

If that is rejected too, then they are prepared to look at other targets.

Roma considering Read alternatives

This is a very distinct possibility for the Italians, because Voetbal International already stated last night that an offer worth a total €28m plus 10 per cent cut of future sale had already been turned down.

Feyenoord are asking for €30m to sell the right-back who turns 21 in a few weeks, and Roma are not prepared to hit that figure, so could leave the door open for Nottingham Forest to come back in.

They have a list of alternatives for the role, including Atletico Madrid’s former Udinese man Nahuel Molina, and Fresneda of Sporting CP.
