Roma wingback Nicola Zalewski is one step away from joining Inter Milan.

Today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, report that Inter should seal the deal today or tomorrow. They’ll sign the 23-year-old on loan with a purchase option.

Inter are ramping up their pursuit of Roma wingback Nicola Zalewski.

The Pole is a player the Nerazzurri have identified as the right replacement for Tajon Buchanan on the flanks.

Buchanan is set to join Villarreal. The Spanish club will sign the Canadian international for a €1 million loan fee, with a €13 million purchase option.

Therefore, Inter want a like-for-like replacement before the January transfer window closes.

Meanwhile, Zalewski’s age and versatility mean that he has exactly the profile they want.

And according to the Gazzetta, the clubs will agree a deal with similar terms to Buchanan’s move to Villarreal – a loan containing a purchase option.

Now, the Nerazzurri and the Giallorossi are just ironing out the final details of the deal.

However, anticipates the Gazzetta, it won’t be long.

Therefore, in the next day or two, Nicola Zalewski should complete his move and become an Inter player.
