Roma are considering Sunderland winger Simon Adingra as a surprise wide option, according to VoceGialloRossa.

RB Leipzig’s Antonio Nusa is said to be their priority, with Paris Saint-Germain youngster Ibrahim Mbaye also under consideration after misses on Mason Greenwood and Crysencio Summerville.

Adingra, formerly of Brighton and Hove Albion, joined Sunderland last summer, recording one goal and one assist in 15 appearances before a loan to Monaco for the second half of the season. His future remains uncertain, and the report values the Ivory Coast winger at about £30m, which would mean around £9m profit if Roma meet their demands.

Sunderland and Leeds have also been linked with Barcelona winger Roony Bardghji. He arrived from FC Copenhagen last summer and posted two goals and four assists in 28 appearances, with only 10 starts under Hansi Flick.

The arrivals of Newcastle United’s Anthony Gordon and Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi appear to have further limited his prospects ahead of year two at the Camp Nou. Sport reports that Brighton have joined the race and that Barcelona could sanction a deal with a buyback option, while Bardghji is said to prefer a loan to prove himself before a return to Catalonia.
