Roma has been pondering Ndicka’s future for weeks.

His transfer is a possibility, given the club’s need to make capital gains by June 30th.

There’s no shortage of interest, and Europe’s most prestigious clubs have begun to make their way: Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Tottenham in the Premier League, Bayern Munich in Germany, and Besiktas in Turkey.

For Roma, however, the Ivorian center-back isn’t up for sale like the other big names in the squad, but there are no longer any unsellable offers. In short, everyone has a price, especially if they fail to qualify for the Champions League.

Ndicka is a key player in Gasperini’s defense. The Ivorian center-back is always present, and at Trigoria—this is hyperbole—they barely know his medical history. So why let him go? The answer lies in the concept of capital gain, which is the positive difference between the sale price and the purchase price of an asset.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport, the 1999-born player cost Roma nothing, having been signed on a free transfer and could now be sold for a fee exceeding €40 million.

In a summer where the settlement agreement with UEFA must be respected, a significant capital gain could solve many problems.
