Roma is preparing for a crucial period, with two key issues at stake: the pitch and the transfer market.

The team has a crucial match against Juventus on Saturday, but attention is also focused on the transfer market, where Joshua Zirkzee remains the primary target.

The Dutchman’s transfer is set to take place within two weeks, with one condition: if it doesn’t materialize within that timeframe, Roma will have to focus on other targets.

Gasperini and Massara are in perfect harmony regarding Zirkzee’s profile, leaving no room for hesitation. Furthermore, the Friedkins have given the green light to a significant investment this transfer window, convinced of the validity of the project and the potential benefits it could bring.

Bringing Zirkzee to Trigoria, however, will require a significant financial commitment, between €35 and €40 million.

Manchester United would prefer to sell the striker only after the Africa Cup of Nations, but Roma is willing to accept this timeframe, provided the deal is finalized by the start of the new year.

If this doesn’t happen, writes Il Corriere della Sera, Gasperini and Massara will look elsewhere, opting for two strikers instead of one. Among the favorites are Giacomo Raspadori, a second striker, and Yuri Alberto, with a possible move for Gudmundsson. Another option being explored is a Beto-Dovbyk swap with Everton.
