Roma ‘to sign’ Diego Moreira, ‘to seek loan’ for Alejandro Garnacho | OneFootball

Roma, coached by Gian Piero Gasperini, are close to signing Diego Moreira, with Alejandro Garnacho also on their list, Gazzetta dello Sport reports.

Talks are running in parallel and could be eased by Chelsea and Strasbourg both being part of the BlueCo group led by Todd Boehly.

Gasperini wants more creativity and depth on the left. Garnacho is viewed as the player to make the difference in the final third, while Moreira is seen as a quick, versatile option across the flank.

For Garnacho, Roma are proposing a paid loan with an option to buy. The London club prefer a permanent sale and value the Argentina international at around 50 million euros. His absence from recent sessions under Xabi Alonso has added uncertainty over his future.

A deal for Moreira is thought to be closer. Strasbourg are asking about 40 million euros, while Roma are aiming for roughly 35 million. The Belgium international left Benfica for free in 2023 after declining a new contract.
