Roma are also looking to the future, with just eight games remaining before the end of the season.
If, as seems likely, Paulo Dybala will say goodbye after four years, the Giallorossi have already identified the next talent to add to their attack: Sergio Arribas, a young attacking midfielder from Almeria who came through the Real Madrid youth system.
Born in 2001, Arribas is a talented left-footed player with superb technique, dribbling ability, and remarkable finishing ability. His versatility allows him to play as an attacking winger, both on the right and left.
This season, he has scored 20 goals and provided 7 assists in 33 Segunda Liga games, attracting the attention of several clubs.
After making his debut at a young age with Real Madrid in the Champions League and La Liga under Zidane, he moved to Almeria in 2023, where he contributed to their fight for promotion to La Liga.
The Spanish club currently sits in third place and aims to return to the top flight. Arribas was already a target of former sporting director Florent Ghisolfi, and now his name is back in the spotlight, with Roma already in contact with Almeria.
However, as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Spanish club’s valuation, set at €20 million, could pose a stumbling block. This figure coincides with Bayer Leverkusen’s asking price for Kerim Alajbegovic, who, however, appears destined elsewhere.
The German club bought him from Salzburg for €8 million just a few days ago, and the deal appears to be quite complicated. Roma, however, is seriously considering the move.
