Roma turn down chance to sign Frankfurt’s Amenda

Sporting director Frederic Massara is working to give Gian Piero Gasperini a defensive boost, as the Giallorossi coach has requested a new center back.

As revealed in today’s edition of Il Messaggero, Eintracht Frankfurt’s Aurèle Amenda was approached by Roma, but the Giallorossi decided to reject him.

Therefore, Axel Disasi and Radu Dragusin remain in the running: the former cannot leave on loan (Chelsea have run out of slots) and the Blues value him at €20 million, while the Tottenham player is more likely to be signed, as he can leave on loan.

The center back isn’t a priority for Roma and the matter will be discussed again in the second half of January.
