RB Leipzig ended a two-game draw streak with a well-deserved comeback win over Hamburger SV on Sunday. Rômulo scored the first goal for the visitors with a backheel before providing the assist for Yan Diomande’s winner,

"It was a tough game. HSV fought hard, but we fought even harder. That's why we deservedly took all three points," the Brazilian striker said after his first goal in seven matches. It was only Leipzig's second win in the same timeframe.

"I hadn't scored in a while, but that happens when you're a striker,” Rômulo discussed his personal form. “The lads gave me a lot of support. I was confident that the goals would return. Sometimes, I attempt a backheel in training, but it worked in a match this time.”

In an all-action encounter for the 24-year-old, Daniel Heuer Fernandes saved a penalty-kick from Rômulo in the second-half. “The goalkeeper did well to save the penalty. You just have to continue, and I'm staying focused on what's ahead."
