ROOF uneasy over Benfica offer as Andreas Schjelderup talks continue | OneFootball

According to Glorioso 1904, ROOF were not surprised by Benfica's proposal and are not fully on board with terms for Andreas Schjelderup's renewal, though negotiations are expected to continue.

The agency, which the Nordic winger signed with in May 2025, believes the offer is not the best.

Benfica want to extend the 21-year-old's deal, which runs to summer 2028, with a proposed new term to 2030. There are elements ROOF do not favour, yet with the player's interests prioritised, the agency is expected to accept.

Schjelderup was close to leaving in January when he was not in José Mourinho's plans. In recent weeks he has been the squad's most influential performer, form that brought an individual award.

This season he has played 34 official matches for Benfica, 19 in Liga Portugal Betclic, 10 in the Champions League, four in the Taça de Portugal and one in the Taça da Liga. Across 1,853 minutes he has seven goals and three assists. He is valued at 14 million euros.
