Liam Rosenior made a desperate attempt to stop complacency creeping into his group ahead of today’s game against Burnley.
Chelsea take on Burnley this afternoon, and ahead of the game our manager Liam Rosenior spoke a little about what he expected from our opposition, who sit in 19th place.
“This is such a strong league now. Every team can beat everyone. That’s why the league is so close in terms of points between so many teams. What we have to do is we have to focus on our own performance,” the manager said.
“We have to make sure that we prepare ourselves right. The way I like to do it is to be consistent in our process, whether we’re playing Wolves, whether we’re playing Burnley, whether we’re playing Manchester City or Arsenal. Our process is the same. It has to be that way for you to be consistent in your performance.”

Rosenior is clearly concerned about complacency creeping in, and rightly so. We’re in good form and have had a rest ahead of the game. And we’re facing a team low on confidence. All signs point to a home win – that’s exactly why we have to be careful.
As the manager said, “we have to take care of our business.” Do that and the results will look after themselves.
Rosenior also spoke about what a lovely luxury it was to have his group in training for multiple days, and revealed what he had worked on with them.
Roberto Di Matteo made a famous impact coming in at Chelsea mid-season, and he’s now given his thoughts on Liam Rosenior’s efforts so far.
