Rui Costa keen to extend Raúl Moreira’s Benfica futsal contract | OneFootball

Benfica have begun moves to renew Raúl Moreira’s contract, with the futsal fixo’s continuity considered an internal priority. His deal expires at the end of the current season.

According to Glorioso 1904, club figures view the 22-year-old as a player with scope to develop and growing importance in the squad, and aim to extend his stay.

Moreira is the son of Raul Moreira, the sporting coordinator for the futsal department. Even so, the intention to renew is based on the player’s merit, with a view to his continued development at the club.

Benfica also plan to push ahead with an extension for captain Afonso Jesus, 28. The hierarchy do not want this dossier to drag and intend to reach an agreement.

In 2024/25, Raúl Moreira has made 24 appearances for Benfica, 12 in the National Championship, seven in the Champions League, four in the League Cup and one in the Portuguese Cup, scoring four goals.
