Leicester City are set to receive a welcome injury boost ahead of their clash with Crystal Palace on Wednesday.
Manager Ruun Van Nistelrooy confirmed defender Jannik Vestergaard returned to training after sitting out Saturdayâs 6-2 FA Cup win over QPR.
Fortunately for the club, the issue was only mild, and the 32-year-old Dutch defender is back in contention to feature midweek.
âHe was a part of team training today (Monday),â said Van Nistelrooy.
âIâm expecting he can be there if all goes well today. If he is fine tomorrow, I expect him to be there on Wednesday with the squad. Thereâs no [other] news on injuries.â
Looking ahead to their Premier League clash, the manager hopes the Foxes can take a step up from their performance against QPR.
"Our performance was good, but also weâve addressed the individual mistakes that we need to cut out from our game â and we wonât get away with against Premier League opposition. We know where we are in the league and what to do to get out."
"I look at [Palace's] squad, the qualities they have within the team from back to front; that is a very good Premier League side. Itâs going to be a tough one for us, but we want to compete and show what weâre about."
Leicester currently sit 19th in the Premier League table.
