Ryan Mason has incredible striker depth at West Brom, but this pairing could prove to be very dangerous during 2025/26
West Brom's frontline was bolstered once more with the arrival of 20-year-old Norwegian Aune Heggebo from SK Brann.
Many would believe that, with the likes of Josh Maja, Karlan Grant and Daryl Dike among the ranks, a new striker wouldn't be required at the Hawthorns this summer, but perhaps the arrival of Heggebo could signal the departure of at least one of those three before the beginning of the new campaign.
One striker who won't be out of the door this summer will be Tammer Bany, though, given the Baggies invested £3.3 million in the 21-year-old in the most recent January transfer window.
After failing to make an impact in the short space of time since signing from Randers due to various injuries, Bany will be hoping to hit the ground running in 2025/26 and show Ryan Mason why he should be considered for regular game time this season.
If he does that successfully, then both he and Heggebo could establish themselves as an incredibly dangerous Scandinavian duo at West Brom.
At just 23, West Brom's new £4.75 million frontman, Aune Heggebo, has all the qualities to become a top striker in the Championship, having become no stranger to finding the net during his time in the Norwegian Eliteserien with SK Brann.
So far in the 2025 campaign, Heggebo netted more than a goal in every other game, registering seven in 13, whilst adding two assists too.
Bany, who emerged just further south in his native land of Denmark, wasn't as prolific in front of goal, but established himself as a decent creative player whilst playing up front for Randers, assisting four times in 15 games before he made the move to the Hawthornes on deadline day this past February.
21-year-old Bany seems to be a great facilitator to play alongside another nine, if Ryan Mason opts to use two strikers next season, and if Heggebo's record in Norway can indeed translate over to England, then the new West Brom manager will have a dangerous pairing indeed.
And with bags of potential in both, this could be a strike force to be reckoned with for seasons to come.
If Bany and Heggebo can make a positive start to the 2025/26 campaign, then Ryan Mason will be undergoing a big selection headache just months into his tenure in the Hawthorns dugout.
As well as the aforementioned duo, Karlan Grant, Daryl Dike and Josh Maja are all still on the books at West Brom, and have plenty of Championship pedigree themselves.
All are planning to be fit by the start of the season, so if all West Brom's strikers stay, then it will definitely prove difficult for Bany and Heggebo to earn consistent time on the pitch.
West Brom's injury crisis up top last season led to a high number of strikers at the club, with Adam Armstrong and Will Lankshear also joining the side on loan in January. But when Bany was fit to play, he was never the first-choice frontman, making just four bench appearances for the Baggies last season.
Perhaps Mason is gearing up for some attacking departures this summer, which will make it easier for Bany, especially, to get an extended run in the first team. If that were to happen, the new West Brom boss would be hoping that his new Scandinavian frontline could have a huge impact.
