South African forward Luther Singh put on an impressive performance as AEL Limassol beat Omonia Aradippou 3-1 in the Cyprus League on Sunday.
The Stars of Africa academy product opened the scoring four minutes from the first whistle, before completing his brace in the 18th minute.
Cypriot midfielder Giorgos Pontikos pulled one back for the home team on the stroke of halftime, but Nemanja Glavcic restored the two-goal cushion in the 72nd minute.
Singh's team is currently in seventh place with 20 points accumulated from 13 matches in the Cypriot topflight division.
Meanwhile, the 28-year-old utility player has scored five goals and provided four assists in 13 matches across all competitions this season.
Singh recently penned a new deal that will keep in Limassol until May 2027, having joined the club on a free transfer in July 2024.
The Limassol-based outfit beat Egyptian giants Zamalek SC and an unnamed Betway Premiership club in Soweto to the player's signature.
With Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos proving to be oblivious to certain exports' performances, it remains to be seen whether Singh can earn a call-up for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup.
