Sabitzer scores the winning goal, Ryerson shines with two assists | OneFootball

In a head-to-head clash between World Cup qualifiers Norway and Sweden, Julian Ryerson’s side secured a 3-1 (3-0) victory on Monday evening in Oslo. The Dortmund right-back set up the first two goals scored by Jörgen Strand Larsen (8, 37). Ryerson delivered a cross from the edge of the box into the centre to make it 1-0, and he then provided the assist from a corner to make it 3-0. Ryerson was substituted in the 63rd minute. His Dortmund teammate Daniel Svensson played the full 90 minutes for Sweden.

Marcel Sabitzer and Carney Chukwuemeka also enjoyed success with Austria. The Austrian national team won their World Cup warm-up match 1-0 (0-0) against Tunisia at Vienna’s Happel Stadium, with Sabitzer scoring the decisive goal in the 63rd minute. It all started with a long ball from their own half. After a header from Stefan Posch, Chukwuemeka controlled the ball on the right and played it back to Posch. Sabitzer shot first time with his right foot from Posch’s cross into the box. Austria played more than half the match with ten men following a red card for Konrad Laimer (37). Sabitzer played the full 90 minutes, while Chukwuemeka came on as a substitute in the second half.

Sabitzer and his teammates travel to the World Cup base in California on Thursday. Austria's tournament begins on 17 June with their opening match against Jordan. Norway will play a final friendly against Morocco on Sunday (7 June) ahead of the World Cup. Sweden face Greece in their final friendly as early as Thursday (4 June).
