Alexis Saelemaekers is back with the squad following an absence of over two months due to a fractured ankle.
The Belgian winger has completed recovery and most recently made his first appearance since September in Roma’s 2-2 thriller against Spurs, giving Angelino the decisive ball for the assist to Hummels in the 91st minute.
According to Corriere della Sera, Claudio Ranieri is counting on Saelemaekers a lot and appears ready to include him in his starting formation.
The newspaper adds that Ranieri has already tested him in several positions, moving him from one side of the pitch to the other: with the Belgian the coach can change the formation on the fly without having to resort to substitutions, given that Saelemaekers can play as a winger on both flanks.
His possible return to the line-up could take place after the match against Atalanta.
