Mohamed Salah broke Premier League record at Anfield after providing an assist in Liverpool’s 4-1 win over Newcastle.

Salah reaches new Premier League milestone

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah achieved major new landmark in the Premier League during the match against Newcastle United at Anfield on Saturday 1 February in the 2025 / 26 season.

The Reds secured impressive 4-1 victory in matchweek 24, with Salah starting the game and playing until the 84th minute.

While he did not score, the Egyptian forward played key role by assisting Liverpool’s third goal.

Record-Breaking contributions at Anfield

According to the Premier League’s official website, Salah has now been directly involved in 152 goal at Anfield in league matches.

His record includes:

  1. 107 goals
  2. 45 assists

This gives Salah the most goal contributions ever recorded by player at single stadium in Premier League history.

He has now moved ahead of:

Wayne Rooney at Old Trafford (151)Thierry Henry at Highbury (151)

The achievement adds another historic chapter to Salah’s Liverpool career underlining his long-term impact at the club’s home ground.

Assist helps Liverpool cruise past Newcastle

Liverpool dominated Newcastle with goals scored by:

  • Hugo Ekitike (two goals)
  • Florian Wirtz
  • Ibrahima Konate

Salah created the third goal with low cross from the right side which Wirtz finished with strong shot into the far corner.

Although Salah did not register shot on target, his movement remained dangerous as he entered Newcastle’s penalty area several times and continued to influence the attack.
