Salah’s Form a "Worrying Sign": Liverpool’s Crisis Deepens After Chelsea Defeat
Liverpool’s struggles deepened on Saturday night after falling 2 - 1 to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge marking their 2nd consecutive Premier League loss and 3rd in all competitions.
Despite spirited second half display, Arne Slot’s men were undone by 95 minute winner from Estevao sealing another disappointing night for the defending champions.
Moises Caicedo opened the scoring for Chelsea with thunderous 25 yard strike in the 14 minute before Cody Gakpo equalized after the break.
Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah played the full 90 minute but failed to make his mark.
The "Liverpool Echo" rated him 4/10, noting:
"His cross to Isak late in the 1st half was superb but he wasted key chances and looks far from his best"
The report added that Salah "seems off rhythm at the moment" .. a worrying sign for player who’s long been the heartbeat of Liverpool’s attack.
