The future of Alphonso Davies is increasingly coming into focus at FC Bayern. Despite extending his contract until 2030, the Canadian is apparently no longer guaranteed to stay – on the contrary: a sale is now even being discussed

Davies is no longer untouchable

After all, the Munich club only agreed on an extension at the beginning of 2025 after tough negotiations. However, the situation has changed significantly since then

Following his serious injury – a cruciate ligament rupture in an international match – the 25-year-old has never been able to regain his top form. So far this season, he has only made a few appearances and has not been able to consistently impress on the pitch

At the same time, his market value has also fallen significantly: while Davies was once one of the most valuable full-backs in the world, he is currently valued at only around 45 million euros

However, a potential sale is complicated by the fact that Davies is now one of the top earners in the squad. Around €15 million a year plus bonus payments make him difficult to finance for many interested parties

England clubs show interest

Even Premier League clubs, who are much more flexible financially, are likely to weigh up these dimensions carefully. Although Manchester United in particular have recently been linked with the left-back, no concrete steps have yet been announced

Internally, at least, the door for talks no longer seems to be completely closed, according to kicker. Should a suitable offer be received, Bayern would apparently be prepared to deal with it. BILD also recently reported that Bayern bosses would actively consider a sale in the summer should they receive an offer.
