Sam Johnstone may already have played his final match for Wolves after a shoulder problem left his season in doubt.

According to Molineux.news, Rob Edwards said at his press conference that the goalkeeper suffered the injury during the international break and may not play again this season, with further assessment expected next week. Johnstone is unavailable for the trip to West Ham tomorrow night, while Matt Doherty is also out.

Doherty is expected to miss only this fixture. The timing of Johnstones setback leaves little room for a return across the remaining games.

Johnstone last appeared on 6 March in the FA Cup defeat to Liverpool, and he has not played in the Premier League since 13 December.

Jose Sa has re-established himself as the number one at Molineux. If Johnstone cannot recover before the campaign ends, that Liverpool tie could prove his final Wolves outing.
