Samu converts penalty as Vitória S.C. climb to eighth | OneFootball

Vitória S.C. beat Moreirense 1-0 at Estádio Dom Afonso Henriques on Friday night, lifting Vitória S.C. from ninth to eighth in Liga Portugal.

Moreirense posed the early threat, with Alan drawing several saves from Charles before the break.

In the 65th minute, Alioune Ndoye drew a penalty after being fouled in the box. Samu converted from the spot one minute later (66.) for the decisive goal.

The half time introduction of Samu sharpened Vitória S.C.'s edge in attack, and Ndoye's energy from the bench tilted the game their way.

Late on, Charles denied Maranhão with a header during a prolonged spell of second half stoppage time as Vitória S.C. saw the game out.

Vitória S.C. registered 14 attempts, finding the target twice. Moreirense had 57% possession and produced five shots on target.
