Santos earn R$ three million after sealing Copa do Brasil last-16 place | OneFootball

Santos have earned R$ three million for reaching the Copa do Brasil last 16. Cuca's side entered at the fifth phase and beat Coritiba 2-0 on aggregate.

According to Diario Do Peixe, the club had already banked R$ two million for participation and now await the last-16 draw.

The last-16 first legs are set for one or two August, with the returns on five or eight August.

If the Alvinegro advance, they will receive a further R$ four million. The quarter-finals are scheduled for 26 or 27 August, then two or three September.

The semi-finals are due on one and eight November, with the final on six December.

Santos have won the Copa do Brasil once, in 2010 with Neymar. Semi-finalists receive R$ nine million, the runners-up R$ 34 million and the champions R$ 78 million. Earlier rounds carry varied payments by group, including R$ 400 thousand for Group III in the first phase.
