Santos visit Cruzeiro at the Mineirão on Sunday, 22 March, at 16:00 in Brasileirão round eight with seven players one booking from suspension. According to Diario Do Peixe, Gabriel Brazão, Luan Peres, Escobar, Igor Vinicius, João Schmidt, Neymar Jr and Rony are all at risk.

If any of them receive a third yellow, they will miss the next match against Remo. The club also have nine others on bookings.

Those nine are defenders Adonis Frías and Zé Ivaldo, midfielders Gustavo Henrique, Gabriel Menino, Zé Rafael, Bontempo and Rollheiser, plus forwards Barreal and Gabigol.

Alexis Duarte, on loan, and Vinicius Lira, who is recovering from an ACL injury, have also been booked in the competition but are not on the list.

Cautions have been issued in fixtures against Chapecoense, São Paulo, Athletico-PR, Vasco, Mirassol, Corinthians and Internacional. Staff member Gaston was sent off for two yellows against Athletico-PR, Vojvoda received a straight red versus Mirassol, and Luan Peres was dismissed for two bookings against Corinthians.
