Santos name XI to face Athletico-PR at Arena da Baixada

According to Diario Do Peixe, Santos have confirmed their line-up for Thursday’s 19:00 Brasília time kick-off against Athletico-PR at Arena da Baixada in the third round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.

Gabriel Brazão starts in goal. Igor Vinícius, Zé Ivaldo and Luan Peres are retained, with Vinícius Lira the only change in defence at left-back.

João Schmidt and Gabriel Bontempo begin in midfield, with Miguelito kept as the creator. Gabriel Menino returns after suspension in the Campeonato Paulista to strengthen the centre.

Up front, Rony keeps his place and Thaciano starts alongside him.

Santos go in search of their first league win, having collected one point from two matches and currently sitting 18th in the standings.
