Santos set three Portugal fixtures for July training camp | OneFootball

Santos have arranged three fixtures in Portugal for a mid-season camp, staying from five to 12 July. The squad are on holiday and will report back on 22 June.

According to Diario Do Peixe, they will face Gil Vicente in a friendly on the eighth of July, then play a training match against Santa Clara on 10 July. The trip concludes with a friendly against Vitória de Guimarães on 12 July at Estádio Afonso Henriques.

The delegation are expected to base themselves in Guimarães, about half an hour from Porto, close to the airport to streamline the journey home.

On returning, the club hope to have a Brasileirão game brought forward, although they are waiting for the CBF to finalise the schedule. Cuca’s side then face UCV in the Sudamericana on 21.

The board moved early to adjust plans, shifting the tour from the original seven to 17 July window. Those dates would have clashed with Sudamericana playoff fixtures and three Série A rounds against Botafogo, Chapecoense and São Paulo.
