Santos unveil Rony, forward could debut in clássico against São Paulo | OneFootball

Santos have completed the signing of Rony on a contract to 2028, and the forward is available for Saturday's clássico against São Paulo in the Campeonato Paulista.

According to Diario Do Peixe, after delays in supplementary paperwork the remaining formalities were completed and his registration secured, meaning a debut may come this weekend.

He has been training normally with the squad at CT Rei Pelé in recent days despite the wait for confirmation. The staff are assessing whether to start him or use him during the match.

The agreement with Atlético-MG involves a purchase worth three million euros plus bonuses. The deal covers three seasons.

Signed to operate mainly on the flanks, he arrives to fill a vacancy created by Guilherme's departure.

Born in Magalhães Barata, Pará, Ronielson da Silva Barbosa won state titles with Remo in 2014 and 2015 at 19, then moved to Náutico and Albirex Niigata before spells with Athletico Paranaense, Palmeiras and Atlético Mineiro. He is the sixth highest Brazilian goalscorer in the Conmebol Libertadores with 23, and the leading Brazilian assist provider with 21. In the Copa Sudamericana, a competition Santos will return to in 2026, he reached two finals and won in 2018, and he received two Brazil call-ups for friendlies in 2023.
