Real Madrid have announced the signing of Sara Holmgaard from Everton on a free transfer.
The Toffees had already announced that Holmgaard would leave the club after the expiry of her contract at the weekend and the 26-year-old has already been announced as a Madrid player.

The defender has now signed a two-year deal with the Madrid side who finished in Spain last season but did gain ground on serial winners Barcelona.
Holmgaard joined the club alongside twin sister Karen back in 2022 and featured 32 times for the club in total scoring five times in total with two of those goals coming towards the end of the 2024/25 season when the Dane netted in the 1-1 draw with Manchester City and 2-0 in the win over local rivals Liverpool.
