Toronto FC are in discussions with Norwich City over a move for Josh Sargent.
According to The Athletic, Toronto have submitted an $18m (£13.4m) offer for the 25-year-old, although no agreement has yet been reached. Talks between the clubs are ongoing, with the MLS side confident a deal can still be completed.
Sargent was absent from Norwich’s 5-1 FA Cup victory over Walsall on Sunday, despite not being injured. Head coach Philippe Clement revealed the striker had contacted him ahead of the match.
“He sent me a message to say that he was not available today because of transfer things that are in his head,” said Clement. “We need to speak about that this week inside the club.
“The club has been really clear about that. We know which situation we are in. Him and his agent know the situation, so he will not leave in this transfer window.”
Sargent has made 24 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring eight goals and providing three assists. He has won 29 caps for the United States, featuring twice at international level in 2025.
The forward joined Norwich from Werder Bremen in August 2021 and has gone on to make 157 appearances for the club, scoring 56 goals and registering 15 assists.
