League One

Cardiff City v Luton Town, Saturday 15:00: Back Luton in Match Odds 90 mins @ 4/5

Luton's home record is far superior to their away record with just four wins on the road and it has to be a bet on the hosts here - with a price of 4/5 on the win with the 90 minutes insurance more than fair.

When in winning positions in League One this season, Luton have conceded just three goals in total - the lowest amount in the third tier and seven fewer than opponents Cardiff (10).

Therefore the key is for an early start from the Bluebirds, which should be attainable given they tend to enjoy most of the possession in games and their xG of 1.94 at home this term is up there with the best.

Lincoln City v Bolton Wanderers, Saturday 15:00: Back Lincoln Match Odds 90 mins @ 13/10

A super match-up in store here with four wins on the spin Bolton taken their record to Lincoln - a side that just continue in relentless fashion to churn out results and wins.

Michael Skubala's haven't lost a League One match since late November, and also with four on the spin look the preferred option here.

Lincoln have been in a losing position for just 11.3% of their League One games this season (336 minutes) - the lowest percentage in the league, a quite astonishing stat. Reeco Hackett's double on Saturday at Plymouth saw them pummel the poor green Pilgrims into submission. The Imps play to their physical strengths, with their colossal air threats and set-pieces. Plymouth's high-octane football never stood a chance.

For 31 against 14 at home for Lincoln is good enough for me here.

Bradford City v Peterborough United, Saturday 15:00: Back Peterborough Match Odds 90 mins @ 11/5

Peterborough were languishing in 24th, bottom, and seven points after 11 games under Darren Ferguson. Step forward Luke Williams as the saviour at London Road - as they are now in the top half of the table with 44 points.

Williams seems like one of those thoroughly decent blokes. Notts County fans will testify to that, and while Fergie probably lost the dressing room in that dismal run, it appears the charming Williams has it very much on side.

With a run of form that includes wins against Bolton, Wycombe and Mansfield, they look worthy of a little outside punt here at 11/5. After winning just one of their first 13 away league games against Bradford City between 1969 and 2014 (D4 L8), Peterborough United have since won on three of their last five visits to Valley Parade (L2).

League Two

Cambridge United v Bristol Rovers, Saturday 15:00: Back Cambridge Match Odds 90 mins @ 4/5

Cambridge let me down with a big hurrah on Saturday when losing 2-1 at Harrogate which scuppered a full house in League Two for the column that day and a winning multiple. It all seemed to straightforward then - a side with a 14-game unbeaten run against a side with the worst record in the division.

That day, the U's were so flat you could have played a game of Quoits on them. Harrogate found a sudden burst of flair and freedom and Cambridge were beaten.

Neil Harris' side did bounce back in midweek - Sullay Kaikai's brace easing them to a 0-3 win at Crawley. Revenge for the column!

Bristol Rovers, now with the svelte Steve Evans in the dugout, have shown improved results, but at home recently, and their away record means the hosts shouldn't be opposed as United have lost just one of their 14 home games in League Two this season (W10 D3), with no side winning more points at home this season than the U's (33).

Bromley v Notts County, Saturday 15:00: Back Bromley Match Odds 90 mins @ 13/10

The battle of the corvids awaits with the Magpies showing a liking for silverware (much like the corvid breed of bird) with their push to third in the table.

What a run of form - six on the spin and flying.

However, Bromley's home run is mega impressive. Bar the draw with Crewe on the 27th January (and a late equaliser on 90), they have garnered some terrific wins and remain unbeaten at Hayes Lane this term with nine victories and five draws.

Like most of the successful teams in the EFL lower tiers, counter-attack football instead of possession is the success and they smashed four past Gillingham recently and I am with Andy Woodman's team here again.

Chesterfield v Harrogate, Saturday 15:00: Back Chesterfield HT/FT @ 1/1

Chesterfield are approaching 50 goals for the season as we prepare for the fourth Football League meeting between the Spirerites and Harrogate Town, with each side winning once across the previous three (D1).

Paul Cook's team usually delivers for BTTS and Over 2.5 Goals backers - a recent tally of 3-2, 2-2 and 2-1 light up their dance card.

Harrogate beat Cambridge United 2-1 last time out, ending their 20-game winless run in League Two (and my multiple). This was also the first time that Harrogate scored multiple goals in the league since a 3-2 defeat to Fleetwood Town in mid-October. And while they played well against Swindon too, I cannot be backing a side with so few points and goals.

The away side also have a miserable xG metric on the road at xG 1.00 and xA 1.98.
