Schlotterbeck sets Bundesliga title goal amid Bayern links | OneFootball

Nico Schlotterbeck has made it clear that his sights are set on winning the Bundesliga title.

"I have the goal of winning a championship in Germany," Schlotterbeck said on the Prime Video show ‘Ungesagt’.

Since joining Borussia Dortmund from Freiburg in 2022, the centre-back has yet to lift any silverware with his club.

"We have been close. The Champions League is very difficult to win – we were close there too. In the DFB-Pokal, I was close as well. As a professional footballer, I’ve only won the U21 European Championship. Now I want to actually hold something in my hands," he emphasised.

Schlotterbeck is currently considering whether to extend his Dortmund contract beyond 2027, and judging by his comments, the prospect of winning trophies is a key factor.

Bayern Munich, who have won the Bundesliga 12 times in the last 13 seasons, are reportedly among the European heavyweights keeping an eye on the centre-back's situation.
