Scotland were unable to create many chances against Finland, while goalkeeper Eartha Cummings did well to keep out Linda Sällström’s strike from outside the box. Ria Oling shot over from much closer, while Sophie Howard did enough to put off Sällström as she bore down on goal.

Norway were two up in just 14 minutes during their 4-0 victory away to Northern Ireland, Caroline Graham Hansen and Tuva Hansen seriously damaging the hosts’ chances of qualifying. Graham Hansen got the third before the half-hour, the hosts rallying after the interval only for Guro Bergsvand to make it 4-0 going into the final quarter.

Wales went ahead when Jess Fishlock’s cross found its way through to Lily Woodham to finish at the far post. Ireland levelled 10 minutes from half time, Ruesha Littlejohn’s 30-yard effort coming back off the bar and in off keeper Olivia Clark.

Katerina Svitková headed Czechia one up in Portugal in the first half, Kika Nazareth levelling two minutes into the second.

Poland only had one shot on target against Austria but won with an own-goal just before the hour mark.
