Antoine Semenyo reveals that his former Bournemouth teammate, Dean Huijsen, predicted his move to Real Madrid as soon as he joined the English club from Juventus in 2024.
Safe to say former Juventus defender Huijsen was quite confident about his footballing ability as the Spain international predicted he would join Real Madrid in 2025, right after joining Bournemouth.
Semenyo played for the English club with Huijsen in 2024-25 before joining Manchester City in the 2026 January transfer window.
Speaking to All Out Football, the Ghana international said: “When he [Huijsen] signed for Bournemouth, he said: ‘I’m going to sign for Real Madrid next year.’ I was like, What are you talking about?
“You need to start building up in the Prem. It wasn’t like that for me, so I don’t think it’s going to be that for you, but, again, he said, ‘I’ll sign for Real Madrid next summer.’
“He called it, and we were like, “What are you talking about?”
Real Madrid secured a deal to sign Hujsen even before the beginning of the 2024-25 summer transfer window.
“When the talks started happening, I was thinking: ‘Oh my God, this is madness if it goes through,” Semenyo concluded.
Huijsen, 21, has made 35 appearances in his first season at Real Madrid, scoring two goals.
