The TAS said in a statement it had registered on Wednesday an appeal from the FSF against the CAF and the FRMF.

Senegal had initially lifted the trophy on 18 January, winning thanks to a goal from Pape Gueye.

The appeal contests a CAF ruling dated 17 March 2026 that declared Senegal had forfeited the Morocco 2025 final, awarding Morocco a 3-0 win following events during the match.

CAF's appeals jury had upheld a Moroccan protest, disqualifying Senegal under articles 82 and 84 of the Africa Cup of Nations regulations.

In its filing, the FSF asks for the CAF decision to be annulled and for Senegal to be declared the 2025 winners. A TAS verdict is not expected for several months.
