The Senegalese Football Federation has raised serious concerns about arrangements for the Africa Cup of Nations final between Morocco and Senegal in Rabat on Sunday at 20:00, the federation said in a statement.

It lamented an apparent lack of adequate security for Senegal’s arrival at Rabat’s railway station, saying the arrangements expose players and staff to risks inconsistent with a tournament of this scale.

It has notified CAF of its refusal to train at the Complexe Mohammed VI, seeing the facility as the opposing team’s base camp and a fairness issue. It has also not yet received confirmation of an alternative training site for the Lions de la Teranga.

Ticketing has also alarmed Senegal’s officials, who described the situation as worrying. They secured tickets within the CAF quotas, 300 in Category one, 850 in Category two and 1,700 in Category three, but consider the allocation insufficient for demand.

In light of these issues, the federation has called on CAF and the local organising committee to take immediate corrective measures to ensure fair play, equal treatment and safety, which it considers essential to the success of the final.
