Sensational victory at Gladbach | OneFootball

Eintracht claimed their third league win of the season with an incredible 6-4 victory at Borussia Mönchengladbach. Koch netted his first brace, with Knauff, Burkardt, Chaibi and Uzun also on target.

Team news The starting line-up showed three changes from the last game at home to 1. FC Union Berlin. Ellyes Skhiri, Ansgar Knauff and Jonathan Burkardt came in for Hugo Larsson, Jean-Mattéo Bahoya and Elye Wahi. For Skhiri it was his first Bundesliga start of the 2025/26 season. Burkardt and Chaibi strike With 35 minutes gone Can Uzun played a clever pass into the box to Burkardt, who outmuscled Nico Elvedi before slotting the ball past Gladbach goalkeeper Moritz Nicolas. The Eagles were running riot and when Doan played the ball into the middle again four minutes later, Chaibi was there to make it 4-0.

Super goal by Uzun Following some wonderful link-up between Knauff and Chaibi, the Algerian laid the ball back to Uzun, who fired into the right corner to round off a perfect first-half display. 6-0 through Koch  The away fans were celebrating the next goal seconds after the restart. From a short corner, Nathaniel Brown curled the ball to the far post and captain Koch scored his second goal of the game and the first brace of his career. Santos with two good saves After a little over an hour, Kauã Santos was called into serious action for the first time, making two good saves against Kevin Diks and Haris Tabakovic to keep the score at 6-0. At the other end, Chaibi struck the right post in the 69th minute. Gladbach score four Feeling comfortable with the size of their lead, the Eagles neglected their defensive work and conceded two goals from Jens Castrop (72’) and Tabakovic (78’).
