In less than 24 hours, Inter Miami and Orlando City will face each other for a place in the Leagues Cup final. Javier Mascherano won’t join the Herons bench on Wednesday night, due to his red card in the quarterfinals against Tigres.

Despite playing without their coach on the side, the Herons had the presence of Lionel Messi and Jordi Alba in today's training.

During the media session, Sergio Busquets shared insights into his future with Inter Miami.

Sergio Busquets said the conditions change

After practice, as usual, players gathered around the journalists to answer questions. The most frequent one was about the status of Lionel Messi and his availability for the match against Orlando City.

Noah Allen and Ian Fray detailed that Messi took part in today's training, but it’s up to the coach if he plays. But when Buquets arrived, two situations were fired.

The first one is about the fact that on Wednesday night, he will achieve the 100th game mark. The Spanish midfielder answered: “I'm very happy. I hope I can celebrate it with a victory tomorrow.”

And the former FC Barcelona isn’t wrong. Even though he could be more energetic about this record, the 37-year-old is focused on the match against the Lions.

Before ending the interview, a journalist asked about his renewal and his contract situation. Without much fuss, Busquets answered: “I don’t want to give any clues. I feel physically fine, and the coaches can rely on me. In due time, whether it’s renewal or retirement, you’ll know.”

With Rodrigo De Paul’s arrival, things change for the Spanish midfielder, as Inter Miami has already filled the designated player spot.

The World Cup champion with Spain in 2010 said: “Obviously, the conditions would change because the three DP spots are already taken and it’s okay.”
