Seven Girona players called up to their national teams

The November international break has a strong representation from Girona. Up to seven players from Girona FC have been called up by their respective national teams to play international matches between November 10 and 18.
Ukrainian presence
The Ukrainian national team has called up Vanat and Tsygankov to play in the 2026 World Cup qualifying matches. The Ukrainian team will face France on November 13 and Iceland on November 16.
Additionally, goalkeeper Vlad Krapyvtsov has been called up to the Ukraine U-21 team, which will play two qualifying matches for the U-21 European Championship against Turkey and Albania.
Livakovic, with Croatia
Goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic will be part of the Croatian national team. Croatia will face the Faroe Islands on November 14 in Rijeka and Montenegro on November 17 in Podgorica.
Asprilla, with Colombia
Colombian Yaser Asprilla will travel to the United States to play two friendly matches with his national team: Colombia vs. New Zealand on November 15 at Chase Stadium (Florida) and Colombia vs. Australia on November 18 at City Field (New York).
Ounahi, with Morocco
Midfielder Azzeddine Ounahi has been called up by the Moroccan national team, which will play two matches in Tangier: against Mozambique on November 14 and against Uganda on November 18.
Witsel, with Belgium
Finally, Axel Witsel will represent the Girona team in the Belgian national team. The "Red Devils" will play against Kazakhstan on November 15 in Astana and host Liechtenstein on November 18 in Liège.
